Hi fellow fins

Lots of questions today I thought I could address some of them

  1. SIGN IN FOR THE MEETS: You must find the Meet book and circle your swimmer either YES (I will be at the meet) or NO (will not be at the meet) by FRIDAY FOR BOTH THE MINI MEET 5/14 AND DICKINSON MEET 5/17. The coaches are going to begin making stroke assignments and they need to know if your child is swimming.  So Circle in by tomorrow- Friday 5/9!!!  You do not have to circle a stroke the coach knows what to put the swimmers in to race, you may request ONE STROKE ONLY if you like but it is only a request the coach has the final decision. If you can not be at the pool please email me and let me know so I can circle in your swimmer.
  2. WHERE ARE THE SWIM SUITS????  Good question, A-Gleam says they are coming in a little at a time.  I have had several email out to them and I am following up with the suits.  There were a lot of different orders.  So when I get them I will let you know.  Otherwise Please feel free to call A-Gleam to ask specifically about your swimmer at 281-316-220 or 281-859-0425.
  3. The VOLUNTEER SCHEDULE for the first 2 meets is attached above. These assignments were made based on your requests and the availability you originally placed.  The only way we can run a meet is with the parents help so it is very important that you make every effort to fulfill your job role. If you have any questions you can email the volunteer coordinator Nicole Pertuit at  purrtweet@comcast.net or call at 281-291-8812.  The schedule is also on line at www.clearlakeforestfins.org and at the pool in a binder.
  4. TSHIRTS are coming they should be in before the first full meet on the 17th against Dickinson. 
  5. Picture day is Monday May 19th at 4:30pm, so we will have our shirts for the pictures.
  6. Yard Signs and tattoos have also been ordered!!!

Hello Fellow Fins

The season is off to a big splash!!!  Thank you all for picking the Fins to be apart of the your summer.

Couple of items I need to address:

  1. We are placing the final order for extra t-shirts today.  Your swimmer's shirts are included in registration but a lot of parents have not ordered. We probably will not put in a second order, so if you want think you might want a 2008 CLF Fins t-shirt or tank please respond today with your size.
  2. If you would like to order a Yard Sign that says "Home of a Clear Lake Forest Fin Swimmer" please let me know as well as I am putting in the order shortly.
  3. The first MINI MEET is Wednesday MAY 14th HOME at the CLF pool for 10 and under.  Meet start at 5:30pm arrive at pool by 4:30pm
  4. The next FULL MEET is on Saturday May 17th at Dickinson pool.  The meet starts at 8:00am but arrive at the pool at 6:45am.
  5.  The MEET Sign in book is at the pool.  It will be placed on the picnic table.  It is everyone's responsibility to circle your swimmer either YES (I will be at the meet) or NO (will not be at the meet) for there child to be entered into the meet.  If you do not circle in your the coaches will not know if your swimmer is swimming at the meet and will not be entered in the meet.  So Circle in!!!  Also indicate on the sign in if you can stay for the last relay of the meet for ages 7 and up.  If you can not no big deal just let us know.  Also you may request one stroke only, the final decision for the stroke events is up to the coaches.

  6. The Volunteer book is on the table as well.  The first 2 meets have been assigned and you can see what your assignment is.  The plan is to finish the assignments this weekend and then have the book at available at each practice.  We will email out the volunteer assignments as well and you will receive a reminder phone call.  Please do not change your assignment in the book.  If you have to make a substitution or trade, please notify Nicole Pertuit or Michael Thomas of your substitution and they will change it. Thank you for your patience as we are fine tuning the system for the volunteers so it will go smoothly in years to come.
